2) What 3 words best describe you as a person?
Honest, Devoted, Passionate

3) Describe your Fashion sense?
I consider my wardrobe to be trendy and flavored. I like conservative colors (blacks, browns, maroons & greens) I have a weakness for designer bags and shoes!!

4) What made you decide to compete in Ms Mature Carnival Pageant 2014?
I captured my second crown some eighteen years ago and with several community based programs planned for the near future, I felt inspired to vie for the ambassador role of Ms. Mature 2014/2015 which stands to illuminate the projects I am gearing to launch.

5) Do you think you will win if yes/no why?
No one should ever doubt themselves! I believe in the vision my team and I have developed! I believe my performance will be one to remember! The goal is to win! The mission is to birth a new movement of role models!

6) Tell us some more about this pageant....Ms Mature
“Mature” is defined; complete in natural growth. A mature woman is defined as a person who is fully developed in body and mind. The Ms. Mature pageant is a unique opportunity for women over the age of twenty-five to grace the stage of the festival village and display her cultural heritage.  I commend the brilliant soul who thoughtfully presented the opportunity for mothers and wives to once again take part in a fun and thrilling escapade such as pageantry

7) If you were to walk the red carpet which designer would you wear and why?
Kai Design by Kaishah S. Peters. Kaishah is a woman of the soil and is a creative designer that has a skill to knit custom pieces per client.  The time, care and love that Kaishah puts into her work as she knits a dress or swimsuit for a client is remarkable.

8) If you were given 1 ticket to fly anywhere in the Caribbean where would you go and why?
The Cayman Islands, I have always heard so much about the Cayman Islands and would like to experience their extra blue beaches, visit the Botanical garden and behold a blue iguana.

9) If the Fashion Police was to have dinner at your home what dish would you prepare?
When!, the Fashion Police visits my house for dinner, I will prepare a zesty meal with sweet and sour chicken wings with my special mix of scallop potatoes baked in gouda cheese, heavy cream, peppers and onions. A side of seasoned rice finished with a corn on the cob boiled in sweet milk.

10) What do you think of the Fashion Police News Blog?
I’ve taken a voyage on the blog to gain a full view of your work. I’m proud of my fellow       St. Maartener and further encourage you to expand your creativity to touch the up-and-coming talents of St. Maarten. Thank you for extending this opportunity to me!  Congratulations to you and may 2014 unfold all your planned goals beyond your expectations. I shall continue to follow your journey…

11) What do you think of men who teaches women to walk?
I embrace that talent has no prejudice! You and our late, great Christian (may he rest in peace) are champions in this arena and I appreciate your skills.

12) Where do you see yourself in 8 years time?
I have been blessed to have achieved some great milestones in my life. In eight years, I foresee me having launched and operating one of my greatest business ventures. Hence securing the title of Ms. Mature 2014/2015, I would have built a legacy and set a standard of community outreach and service providing that all proceeding queens will shadow for years to come.

13) If you had the power to change the pageant world what would you change and why?
The pageant world is perfect! What I would focus change towards is the misconceptions too many people have as it relates to pageantry. Pageantry is a dynamic vessel that has unfold and unshielded the inner beauty, charisma and courage of many females who prior to taking that leap, doubted themselves and their capabilities.

14) What would you say is your best assets?
I have always been complimented for my bright and infectious smile! I love to smile! I see a camera and I can instantaneously switch to a smile and capture a good shot lol lol….

15) Who are your 4 best friends you would ride and die for?
I am a very loyal friend. I have ongoing friendships that stems back to days of adolescents. I have several people in my life that I would ride hard for but my two sons are the only ones I would die for!

16) Tell us a bit about who your chaperone is?
I am blessed with two former Queens who are my Chaperones. They each play different roles in the preparations and it’s so fantastic and beneficial for me how it all falls together. Their creative ideas, determination, honesty, love and support keeps me motivated and confident in the performance I am gearing to deliver.

17) What music would have you running to the dance floor to shake your booty?
I have been dubbed “Soca Queen” by those closest to me because when a sweet soca rhythm hits my ears, my body will move to the beat and its alllll over….lol

18) What separates a girl from a woman?
Maturity! ……A girl is unsure of her next step. She’s hungry for knowledge and to experience life. A woman embraces her trials and her fortunes. She has more control of her thoughts and allows her self-elevating goals to guide her next move.

19) What can we expect from you on the night of Ms Mature pageant 2014?
I am looking forward to delivering a performance full of vibrant-high-energy, elegance and intellect.

20) When not working what do you enjoy doing?
I enjoy being with my sons and my husband. We love to travel!!  And I love a good book with a glass of wine.

21) If the Fashion Police was to be a fly on your bedroom wall what would they be shocked to see?
To be quite honest, my hubby maintains cans of Baygon around the house and he hunts mosquitos and flies as he despises them,…….. so your life span would be too short to see anything; lol lol …..sorry!!!! J

22) What advice do you have for anyone looking to enter a pageant?
I encourage all females who has given thought to enter a pageant to do so. Especially if you want to give yourself a challenge; if you feel shy or intimated by life; if you feel less than beautiful;  if you love arts and culture….. Start your planning a year in advance. Pageantry is fun and thrilling and it will open new doors beyond your imagination.

23) Any last words for our many blog readers from around the world?
