Ms Trevicia Adams known as"Barbie"Speaks To The #1 Blog In London Town
Ms Trevicia Adams also known as "Barbie"
1)Please tell us who you are for for those not familiar with you?
I am Trevicia Adams affectionately known as Barbie from the beautiful twin island federation of St. Kitts and Nevis
2)What 3 words best describe you as a person?
Shy, Reserved and humble
3)Describe your fashion sense?
I am a conservative dresser. I do not lean to 'what's in style" or the trends. I tend to choose clothing that I can mix and wear and what looks nice and classy.
4)What perfume are you wearing as we speak?
Jordin Sparks 'because of you ' perfume
5)What are 4 things men do that makes you mad?
Hahaha I hate... hate it...absolutely hate it when men are possessive; when they are ignorant; when they are not goal oriented and when they feel your entire life should revolve around them and their needs.
6)Do you think your a true representation of a
today's woman if yes/no why?
Of course I do think I am a true representation of today's woman. I am a well rounded young lady with a promising future but at the same time i am a humble person. I believe that you should always remain approachable and open minded to the people around you. I am willing to attempt tasks that in earlier times would be seen as a "man's" job.
7)What made you decide to enter Ms Culturama pageant?
I am definately a lover of Pageantry. I was asked to enter the pageant by the national Carnival Committee after placing 1st Runner up in our National Pageant in 2011. It was really my duty, a contractual agreement to represent my country in that specific pageant.
8)Did you know you was going to win after seeing the contestants?
Not at all! I do not underestimate my competition. From experience, I have learnt that you can not and you should not look at the physical appearance or contestants off-stage disposition to qualify them as competition. You may think someone does not have the potential to win just by looking at their outer appearance and on the night of the pageant that person is normally the one that blows everyone away. My sister often says some contestants intentionally hide their true potential until the night of the pageant.
9)What did you think won the hearts of the judges about you?
I think my smile won them over... lol just kidding . I think my hard work and dedication showed through my performance. I had personality, grace and charm. Preparations were great and that gave me confidence.
10)What are 4 secrets to winning a crown?
Ever so often when a young lady enters a pageant her ultimate goal is TO WIN but for me its about having fun, enjoying the experience, meeting other gorgeous young ladies and most importantly enjoying what i love best ( being on stage). Secretly, you know I want to win...hehhehe. To be honest, it has always been my sister's intention and mine also to enter Miss World or Miss Universe...so these shows over the years were stepping stones towards that goal.
11)Who are your 4 best friends you would ride and die for?
This is a tough question as i have very few close friends so i would have to say not best friends but family members. My mother who is my best friend, Clarissa Harris, Felicia Silcott and of course my sister Janet Johnson.
12)What music would have you running to the dance floor to shake your booty?
I love to be on the dance floor and having a great time so any genre of music will definitely have me bumping. However, dancehall and reggae are at the top of the list. Lately, I've been loving African music especially that song Azonto
13)What do you think about the Fashion Police News Blog?
I love fashion police even though I've recently being introduced to it. I love how diverse it is in terms of having musicians, models and pageant "fanatics" like myself.
14)What do you think about men who teach women to walk?
I am accustomed to having a male modelling coach that it seems normal to me now lol. At first I was like others who would say a male would never know more about modelling than a female. However, after being exposed to my cousin, Jason Amory who is a male modelling coach here in St Kitts, that changed my mind. I've often compared him to international male model coaches and I highly rate him.
15)What advice do you have for other young ladies looking to enter pageants?
GO AT IT! It is a once in a life time opportunity that will open many doors for you as an individual. In addition, you will see your self developing into a more mature and self confident young lady. Many life skills are learnt by entering pageants: time management, listening skills, self esteem building, etc.
16)If you was to walk the red carpet which designer would you wear?
Ooooh this is a tough question. So many choices but i would say anything from Versace or Calvin Klein.
17)If you was given 1 ticket to fly any where in the caribbean where would you go and why?
I would go to Trinidad and Tobago to experience their rich culture: their carnival and have that real time opportunity to see their folk dances in person.
18)Where do you see yourself in 7 years time?
In 7 years I see myself being a Human Resources professional , starting my family and of course helping another pageant fanatic in the world of pageantry and modelling.
19)If the Fashion Police was to have dinner at your home what dish would you prepare them?
I would prepare them my favorit meal of rice and peas, baked chicken, macaroni pie and potato salad. I would also offer them a glass of my mother's sweet lemonade.
20)If the fashion police was to be a fly on the wall in your bedroom what would they be shocked to see?
My make up collection which I scarcely wear lol
21)What would you say is your best assets?
That would have to be my smile and my eyes.
22)Tell us how do you prepare for a pageant?
I normally don't have much time preparing for pageants and that is the biggest disadvantage for me. When I do have time I normally plan my segments carefully. I first have to prepare a budget segment by segment, then contact each person for the segments and then practice begins once all that is finalised.
23)After winning this pageant have it open doors for you?
Definately! I entered the Miss Caribbean World pageant and have another big upcoming pageant that i hope Fashion police bloggers will be following.
24)What do you love doing when your free?
SLEEPING, I am normally on the go so i always use my spare time to sleep. My sister often says she thinks its a medical problem...lol
